Kelly Donovan

Kelly is Matt's and Viccki's mother. She is very irresponsible. For she leaves Viccki and Matt to go off with her boyfrined Pete. Matt and Vicck know they can't rely on their mother. Viccki's irrisponsible behaviour comes from her mother's lack of being a good rolemodel. When Kelly return's from being out with her boyfriend Matt doesn't care at first but then as time goes by Matt actually shows he misses his mother alot. She returns home to find Matt and Caroline having sex on her couch. She also makes a bid on one of the bachelor's at the 'Bachelor Raffle' and gets, who she dated before and did not like. Later on Matt takes his mum home to find out Pete left her. Matt realizes his mum actually cares for him when she confronts him hoping he will not leave her like Pete did. Later on Caroline and Matt discover Kelly and Damon close to having sex. Betrayed Matt thought Kelly had changed. At the Lockwood Gala Kelly tries to seduce Tyler, ashamed Matt kicks his mum out of the house.

Lexi

Blonde-haired and brown-eyed. Lexi's mate is Liam (Lee). Lexi was a 350 year old vampire, and one of Stefan Salvatore's oldest friends who has traveled the world with him and comes to visit him in Mystic Falls for Stefan's birthday. Knowing stefan she realized that stefan had fallen in love with Elena Gilbert a human girl who looked alot like Katherine. Lexi did not like Damon and he pretended to act hurt when she told him that she was just visiting for Stefan's birthday. She told him that death meant nothing without him to her and said that he was only the bad parts of being a vampire. When he attempted to kiss her, she grabbed him by the neck and warned him not to ruin her time with Stefan because she was stronger than him (being older) and could hurt him. While at a party at the Mystic Grill, she helped convinced Elena Gilbert that a romance between vampire and human being can work out.

But because of the vampire attacks going on in town Damon frames Lexi for the killings. To prove himself worthy he stakes Lexi as a act towards the founders council.

Matt Donovan

Matt is a kind, good-natured guy whose recent breakup with Elena Gilbert has left him somewhat lovelorn. He looks out for his friends, and his older sister Vicki, due to her drug habit and tendency to be irresponsible. Their parents are nowhere to be found, and he's the one who picks up the slack. He's easy-going, friendly and considerate, and can occasionally be withdrawn. He's tall, athletic, with blue eyes and blonde hair. Matt is a loyal, protective and caring person. He shows great concern for the health, welfare and virtue of his sister, Vicki, especially after her attack and during her stay in the hospital. He is also sure to let Stefan know that he cares about Elena and would do anything for her. His relationship with both his sister and irresponsible mother has forced him to grow up sooner and become independent despite his desires to just be a kid. Matt mentions that he has known Caroline since the first grade although he did not like her very much. After verbal assaults by Damon, Caroline gets drunk and tells Matt her problems. He and her befriend each other after Matt tells her he knows what it is like to be alone. Though it had a rocky start, Matt and Caroline begin dating each other. Caroline is often jealous due to Elena and Matt's history as they are still close even now. But now Caroline and Matt date smoothly and calmly.

Tyler Lockwood

Tyler had a obedient childhood obeying his parents. Tyler is handsome with dark, close-cropped brown hair and brown eyes. He is part human part werewolf. His best friend is Matt Donavan. Tyler and Vicki seem to be in a sexual relationship together, though he does not seem to care for her beyond that as he attempts to force himself on her at the party, and does not bother to visit her at all while she's in the hospital and flirting with other girls at school. Tyler dumped Viccki because of the reputation of his parents. Tyler and Matt hang out together in the Mystic Grill. Matt isn't impressed at the idea of Tyler having a relationship with his sister, Vicki. He is even less impressed when Jeremy Gilbert implies that Tyler forced himself on Vicki sexually. Matt is quick to being suspicious of Tyler, suggesting that while they may be friends, that friendship is not a close one. The pair have a fight in the locker room during a football game, where it is revealed that Matt is fed up with Tyler's bullying behaviour. When Viccki goes missing Tyler offer Matt his help, that is when there friendship started to grow again. He is the son of Richard Lockwood, the incumbent mayor of Mystic Falls. His father comes across as personable and amicable, but also more concerned with how the killing of Mr. Tanner will effect the Mystic Falls High School football season and hiring a replacement coach. His mother, Carol Lockwood, is shown to be very controlling, dismissive and snobbish.

Pearl

Pearl was a friend of Katherine and they moved together to Mystic Falls in 1864. Worried about the townspeople growing more and more suspicious of vampires, Pearl wanted to move on, but Katherine was insistent on staying. Pearl was getting worried due to the fact that Honoria Fell was giving out bottles of vervain around town.

Despite a brief flirtation with Johnathan Gilbert, he uncovered she was vampire and she was captured to be burned in Fell's Church. Emily cast a spell to protect Pearl and 26 other vampires in a tomb underneath Fell's Church. She witnesses Katherine escaping the church with the aid of a guard infatuated with her. Anna her daughter had to watch her mother taken away.

In 2010 Anna finally got her mother out of the tomb after Bonnie and Grams opened it.
Pearl did buisness around town and blended in, she helped Harper ajust. Then as Pearl discovered to many people knew the truth about vampires in town. Pearl planned to leave town with Harper and Anna but Pearl didn't make it out before they got staked.

Giuseppe Salvatore

Giuseppe Salvatore is Stefan and Damon's father, and a member of the Founders Council in 1864. A well-respected man, Giuseppe was widowed with two sons and while he had a good relationship with his younger son, Stefan, he disapproved of his elder son, Damon. He had a strong disgust of vampires and conspires with the other Founding Families to eradicate the vampires in Mystic Falls once and for all by burning them all inside old Fell's Church. While disappointed in his eldest son Damon, he enjoys a closer relationship with his second son Stefan. Stefan trusted his father and try to make him believe some vampires might be worth of compassion. This conservation aroused his suspicion and spiked Stefan's drink in order to prove that Katherine, a war orphan from Atlanta that he had taken in, was a vampire and incapacitated her to be captured and burned inside old Fell's Church. Fearing was might happened if he destroyed Emily Bennett's grimoire, he secretly had it buried in his grave in Mystic Falls Cemetery.

Harper

Harper was a soldier for the Union army during the American civil war. Harper was dying when Pearl found him and changed him into a vampire. He served Pearl loyally for many years. In 1864, he was of the 27 vampires captured by towns people of Mystic Falls and trapped in old Fell's Church while it was set on fire. But Emily cast a spell that binded the tomb door shut to protect the vampires from the fire. When Bonnie Bennett and her grandmother break the seal and Damon Salvatore enters the tomb to rescue Katherine, he discovers that Katherine was never trapped in the tomb, has a tantrum and throw a bag of blood against the wall. After Damon leaves, Harper grabs the discarded bag, drinks the blood and regains enough strength to escape the tomb. Harper, the next day wonders the woods in search for information but comes across a strange man. Knowing he must blend in Harper attacks the man and drains him of blood, stealing his clothes. Harper walks around town looking for help he incounters a familiar woman who greets him and walks off. Later that night he meets the women in a cabin in the woods, her name was Pearl. She notifies Pearl who, through the owner of the house, welcomes him in to join her and the other vampires. Harper settled with Pearl but didn't like the other vampires. Pearl puts him in charge when she and Anna have to go into town. Later, he tries to prevent Frederick and Beth-Anne from leaving the house but it fails, eventually leading to Beth-Anne's death when she and Frederick attack the Salvatore brothers. A few days later Pearl decides that Mystic Falls is no longer a safe place to be and tells Anna that they are leaving. Harper wants to come with them as the town was never his home but both Pearl and him are staked before they manage to leave.

Jeremy Gilbert

Elean's brother, Viccki and Anna's lover Jeremy Gilbert. He was born in 1995. He grew up a fantstic life as a cute child, diffrent but good. Until 2010 when he started to date Viccki Donavan, he loved Viccki alot. At first Viccki was embarressed to date a 15 year old. But soon Jeremy won her over again after a accident with Tyler Smallwood. Jeremy was happy with Viccki but then she diasappeared like the recent disapearences. A week later Viccki appeared at the halloween party dressed as a vampire. But near the end of the party Viccki vanished not to be seen. Jeremy grieved over Viccki. But the next day it seemed Jeremy forgot about Viccki and thought she was on holiday for a while and wouldn't be coming back. Life went on as usual. They had a new history teacher weeks later Alaric Saltzman. Jeremy was back on track with his work after a assighment. During the assighment Jeremy met a girl called Anna, she was weird but cool.

Jeremy soon fell in love with Anna. But a flash back occoured of viccki sucking his blood. Jeremy came up with a idea and cut himself on purpose while Anna was in the room. Of course Jeremy was right she started drinking his blood. There love blazed stronger by each day. But then Viccki's body was found. Hell broke loose. Jeremy then new what he wanted. He wanted to be a vampire. He and Anna were lovers now. But then a couple of weeks later. A noise occoured and Anna started screaming and moaning. Police came and took Anna away. He never saw her again but he knew his sister Elena knew about vampires too. Jeremy's life changed then.

Anna

Anna was born in 1847.
Her mother was Pearl katherine's best friend of that time.
Pearl was dying after the birth and she pleaded Katherine to look after Annabelle but Kathrine had somehing else in mind. She turned Pearl on the day of Anna's birth.
Anna lived her 17 years in peace with her mother in Mystic Falls growing up happily. Until 1864 when Mystic Falls people started to hunt for vampires. Anna knew her mother was a vampire. But Johnathan Gilbert had discovered Pearl was a vampire and he sent the people to hunt Pearl. The people caught her mother and locked her in the tomb. Anna watched her mother in horror, tears in her eyes.

From then Anna knew it was no longer safe for her so she ran away with Emily to the border where Emily left her to go and retrieve the salvatore brothers, Anna pleaded Emily to stay, but Emily knew she owed Katherine that much. Anna alone, homeless, wanted to die so much. That she stabbed herself and woke as a vampire. Anna lived for 136 years believing in opening the tomb and saving her mother. As soon as she saved her mother in 2010. Anna's feeling turned into a wirlwind for she had fallen for Jeremey Gilbert. A forbidden lover.

Anna secretly dated Jeremy. He soon learned her secret but he still loved her. But then it happened. Anna returned home to find her mother on the floor dead. Stone cold. Anna stayed with Jeremey out of loneliness. Soon the machine was ready and Anna was taken to John Gilbert where he staked her.
